L'11 e 12 maggio si svolgerà a Minneapolis un festival letterario che sarà aperto con un'esibizione dei Rock Bottom Remainders, la band di autori fondata nei primi anni '90 da Kathi Kamen Goldmark, e di cui fa parte anche Stephen King, che per l'occasione tornerà a suonare insieme ad Amy Tan, Mary Karr, Dave Barry, Mitch Albom e altri.
Del gruppo hanno fatto parte anche Matt Groening, Scott Turow e Al Kooper. Si esibirono la prima volta nel 1992 in California ad Anaheim, alla convention dell'American Booksellers Association.
Nel 1997 partecipò a un concerto dei Rock Bottom a Los Angeles anche Bruce Springsteen.

I membri originari della band pubblicarono nel 1994 un volume dal titolo Mid-Life Confidential (inedito in italiano) dove riportavano la cronistoria della loro tournée.[fonte: startribune.com]
